The line of succession for Grand Duke of [[Nagato]] is when the heir apparent turns 18 years old, they become the new Grand Duke. The previous Grand Duke then becomes the Grand Advisor to the Grand Duke, until death. The Grand Duke is male preference unless there is no male to take the place, then the oldest female next in line will take the place as Grand Duchess of Nagato, however, this has yet to happen. If the Grand Duke or Advisor dies in office, the position goes to the Grand Duchess. If the Grand Duchess dies in office or before, the position goes to the Hereditary Grand Duke. If the Hereditary Grand Duke is not of age (18), then the position goes to the oldest sibling of the former Grand Duke until the Hereditary Grand Duke is of age.
