The Liberal Economic Party (Vistarian: Liberale Economische Partij, LEP, Vorpestian: Partit Ekonomiku Liberali, PEL) is a Terwener libertarian conservative political party. The party has held power within the territory continuously since 2005, either alone or as part of a wider coalition. For a majority of this period, since 2008, the party has been headed by former businessman, and current head of the General Council, Indri Weijers. Though having presided over a long period of political success for the party, Weijers' leadership has been recently challenged due to decreased electoral performance by the party in recent years, failing to gain an outright majority in the 2019 election. In the General Council, the party holds 7 of the 17 seats, forming a minority government through a confidence and supply agreement with the National Farmer's Party.
