Hirdism was originally known as Dverlesonism and National Republicanism but was later known as Hirdism. The term Hirdism being only first used by the far right paramilitary and terrorist group called the Ny Ulvrikia National Army (NUNA) which was founded after the Great War and operated in [[Ymirland]] and [[Hustreache]]. The group stated they called it after the Hird a settler militia group that operated in Ymirland during the mid to late 1800s. With Tir Dveirleson being known to have been a member of the Hird during his teenage years. The Hird being famous at the time for its harassment against the natives that lived in Ymirland.
 
Ironically originating from the term hirdmenn, which were soldiers of noble blood that served as personal guards of Jarls and kings alike. It was most famous during the time of the Ulvrikian Empire and the Norgsveltian viking era.
