Hirdism is an far right political ideology that was founded in Norgsveldet in 1903, gaining a lot of support during the [[Great War]], however after King Haakon III used his royal progative in 1917 to disolve the parilament. Which made the Hirdist elements in the military declare open revolt against the king, causing the Norgsveltian Civil War. After which the ideology was almost completly gone away in Norgsveldet. Though in modern day having been stated to inspired other far right parties such as the Humanist Party of Meremaa, National Union Party (Norgsveldet) and the National People's Union Party (Tiervan), and the far right organisation paramilitary Iron Front (Helslandr). Though none of these organisations has declared themself as officaly hirdist.
Hirdism is a far right political ideology created by Tir Dveirleson a colonial officer stationed in Ymirland during the [[Great War]]. The ideology being mainly based around Dveirleson’s book called ‘Total Krig og den Nasjonale Sjelen (Total War and the National Soul)’, the book was released in 1900 and became popular among members of the Norgsveltian army especially those stationed in its colonies.

In the book Dveirleson argued for the creation of a military junta whose loyalty was to the nation instead of the monarchy. Proclaiming that the only way the nation can protect itself from foreign and domestic threats is through a “national purification” of political institutions and national culture. According to Dveirleson the establishment of a political system that will ensure a secular, nationalistic, republicanist and militaristic government is the only way to ensure national unity and strength.
Hirdism promotes the extreme forms of secularism, nationalism, militarism and republicanism. Wanting the removal of all religion as it sees the whorship of gods as a concept, to weaken the popular conscious loyalty to their nation. As such viewing religion as inherently an tool for the status quo, to allow the nation to be "unpure". It also views monarchy as inherently connected to religion, as such wished to get rid of any monarchism, to establish a nationalistic republic. Though, extremly militarist, it does rejects imperial ambitions on contrast to other far right ideologies such as fascism. Instead most hirdists promotes isolationism as the only way to reject foreign "degeneracy". Hirdism is however economicaly vague. With most modern hirdist movements, or movements based on hirdism stating the need of military taking control of the economy, but rarely on what they going to do with it. Though through letters that Tir Dveirleson, the founded of the ideology, has sent to his friend about the economy is the following: "We as people can not be distracted of how good or bad the economy is doing, when we should be fighting for our nation's very soul! Our people does not understand, that it matters little if the markets are going down or up, so far as the status quo is kept! If we want to change our country, we can not just 'reform' or go back to the old ways. But to start at new, wipe the slate completly clean. We must start completly anew". With hirdists, nor many other for that matter not sure what was the economic views of Tir, if he had any.

Dveirleson’s ideals were formed through his experiences as a member of the Norgsveltian settler community in Ymirland. In which he grew to despise what he viewed as a “weak” native population, mainly as a result of the kemonomimi natives following [[Akuanism]]. Which he viewed with disgust for its pacifist stance, in which according to letters he had sent to another army officer he has said: “The natives are the most cowardly people i've ever had the displeasure to meet. They hide behind their degenerate pacifist religion as an excuse of why they are inferior. I wonder if kemonomimi is just genetically inferior or if they are simply culturally inferior.”
After Hirdism gained a small boost of popularity in Norgsveldet in 1980, after the [[Tieresh Independence War]], two branches became populare within Hirdism circles. One being traditional Hirdism, wanting to keep in the way they think the founder wanted to keep it. The second being neo-hirdism, which promotes on gaining control through the systems of democracy, and thinks that after religion has been purged from the conscious of the average person. Neo-hirdism also rejects the isolationists views of Tir. Stating that the only way to ensure religion don't destroy the nation, is through promotion of the ideology in other countries.

Though he was not alone among the settler community in the attitude of viewing the kemonomimi natives as inferior, he was alone in his attitude against the settler elite which was mostly made up of elven nobles or gothirs. Proclaiming them as leaders of an old and dysfunctional monarchical system. Viewing them as something holding settler societies back, and that if one freed those societies away from those old structures can they be purified.

During the Great War the ideals of Hirdism became popular in the army, but especially in the Norgsveltian colonial forces. With colonial forces being biggest perpetrators of the [[Akuan Atrocities ]], with Tir Dveirleson and his fellow colonial officers doing what most have considered to be an genocide against the native Akuanists living in [[Ymirland]]. In which most historians think was him trying to establish a settler society based around his Hirdist ideals. In which he proclaimed in a nationalistic speech in Kyinster for his soldiers that they were going too “wipe Ymirland clean from religious degeneracy and start a completely new society built around our superiority”. Dveirleson would be captured and executed for treason after the Great War when he and his soldiers started the Hirdist Rebellion after they got the news of Haakon III dissolving the Norgsveltian parliament.
