The Federation of the Southern Coast is home to a large variety of ethnic groups even before colonial times. Twelve major ethnic groups, thirty four minor ethnic groups. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are common in the Federation due to the majority [[Akuanism|Akuanist]] country, with majority of dishes being vegetarian in nature. The Federation is one of the top importers of Tofu on Urth and is frequently used in majority of dishes serviced in homes and in restaurants. Vegetarian dishes in particular have been growing more in popularity primary due to the restrictive nature of Akuanists towards meat production. With vegetarian prepared meals being common place in Côtois supermarkets.
