Despite their claims of being a democracy, Duominzu has been criticized of intentionally undermining it's democratic institutions, lack of clear political transparency to its citizens, and plagued with corruption, nepotism, and authoritarian elements. Duominzu is a largely ethnically diverse population of 50 million people, the majority of which belong to the aurian species while the notable minorities are felines, humans, and nekomimis.
