On May 5th, 2010, the day after the [[2010 Cappedore general election]], incumbent [[Chancellor of Cappedore|Chancellor]] [[Keir Crosland]] visited then [[Cappedore Liberal Union|Liberal]] leader [[Vikki Slade]] to discuss a potential coalition between the CSDP and the CLU in the Gemotern, after the CSDP fell 13 seats short of a required majority.

In 2016, Slade would resign as Liberal Union leader, First Deputy Chancellor, and subsequently from the Gemotern as a whole to focus on a potential presidential campaign in [[2019 Cappedore presidential election|2019]]. She would be replaced by [[Thomas Coleman]].

In 2018, [[Maya Murray]] would praise the existence of the coalition, stating it as a "beacon of liberty and unity in a nation stronger together because of it."
