=Etymology=
The word, Balistria, originated from the tribe of Ursines that lived in the region: Bal'stars (pronoucned: Bel-star). The meaning of the word is disputed. Some Balistrian scholars believe it was named after one of the Great Warriors after the vanquish of the Elves, but this explanation is not accepted outside of Balistria. Alksearians scholars believe that the word is derived from the words "Belsa" (meaning "Ursine") and Stars or Starsia (meaning "of the land; of the area) (Ursine of the Area).
