Balidar is a Morstaybishlian territory on mainland Gondwana, making up one of fourfive remaining Morstaybishlian administrations on the continent, alongside Joralesia, Dalmaghar, Salisar, Kystland and Matilda. A peninsula and three islands, the territory has a population of 1.51 million and an area of approximately 7,882.6 km². Balidarians live primarily within the capital city, Balidar. It is one of the richest remaining Morstaybishlian territories with a GDP per capita of 54.2 thousand KRB and a GDP of 81.95 billion KRB.

Balidar is a large contributor to oil production for Great Morstaybishlia, producing over six percent of overall Morstaybishlian oil production from its overseas oil reserves. The capital city acts as a technological hub in the Morstaybishlian world. The island of Selis is famous for the Impelanzan Castillo Balidario which dates back to the second century BCE and which is classified as a world heritage site.

For centuries, Balidar has been a point of contention between the emerging Morstaybishlian and Norgsveltian empires, though more recently Morstaybishlia has affirmed its grip in the area in agreements made after the Meremaa Civil War. Historically, Balidar made up apart of the greater Maridaria, alongside Kystland. The MBE keeps a large military presence in the area.

Etymology
Balidar derives its name from the Impelanzan settlements in the area, particularly on Selis Island where remains of the Castillo Balidario is found.

The name Balidar is a collective term for the three inhabited islands, the peninsula, Keyman's Reef, Hubert's Rock and the few other uninhabited islets which make up the Morstaybishlian Overseas Territory. The peninsula is called Buranay, whilst the three main islands (from left to right) are called Pthron, Selis and East Isle.

An uninhabited shallow reef exists emdash kilometers east of the capital, Balidar; known as Keyman's Reef. It is named after the merchant vessel MMS Keyman which sunk there in 1809.

Between Buranay and Selis exists an islet known as Hubert's Rock. Records have indicated that the rock was known as Hubert's Cropping as early as 1801. Exactly how they acquired the name is not known for certain, though a possible explanation is that the islet was named after the first Mayor of Corbura, Hubert Dillon.

History
There is archaeological evidence that the region was inhabited by early Lupines in the paleolithic era from knapped stone tools in the Eogural cave network that were carbon dated to 1.05 million years ago. Humans co-existed alongside Lupines as early as 11,000 BCE.
