The continental part of current Ayaupia was the first territory to be colonised by early species. Felines, elves and humans arrived at the same time and lived together. However, during an event called the First Species War, which occured in 570 BE, felines kicked out humans and elves who went on the islands. Humans and elves separated, and chose to split in two different nations. This period from 570 to 643 BE is called the "Great Separation".▼
The earliest evidence of settlement can be traced back to 1 000 BE. The first lands to be colonised by early species were located in northwest Gondwana, near the Puvast river. Hard clay pot and rudimentary tools, as fishing nets, shovels or spades, were discovered all accross the coastal lands of current Nestonia. It is confirmed that there were felines, humans and elves living in the same areas, who were separated in distinct group of each species. Most of them lived in caves or along rivers, and probably lived of fishing, hunting and harvesting.
During the Middle-Ages, the species practice trades and various exchanges, establishing prosperous nations. The species themselves were divided into tribes. Some tribes were fighting or making alliances with each other. In ayaupian history, rivers were seen as the border between a tribe and another, they were the boundaries that stopped a community to go further. Crossing the river was seen as an invasion and was often used to conquer other territories. Some of them established themselves into sorts of kingdoms, where there is a chief ''(Cic)'', ruling over the tribe with its family and followers. Others formed into clans, with different "families", where one ruled the others and those paid tribute to them. But most of the tribes kept a "primitive" structure, with no ruler and functioning on communities interacting with each other.▼
Symbols carved into the rock indicates that religious beliefs appeared very early, which might tell settlers were praising spirits, although it is uncertain if those were the origins of Vatoral religion. Small clay statues resembled later wooden totecs by many similar features, and were with no doubt the first religious items created.

Despite numerous conflicts, and the evolution of some territories, the state of these various tribes and kingdoms remained unchanged until the 18th century. Since then, different people started to get the idea of having a wider and larger identity, more than being in a tribe. The idea of consituent nations, where every member of a species would be united under one rule, rose and got more and more impact on the political life of Ayaupia.

However, the eve of the 19th century led to a colonial power threatening the land. The [[Salovia|Salovian Empire]] started a conquest of current Ayaupia around 1841, and colonised the Piyecor and Ustacor islands. A coallition of asconian tribes engaged a war against the salovian coloniser, but has been proven unsuccessful, resulting into the complete colonisation of all asconian lands. That has been made possible by an alliance with the palayonians, whom have been promised to stay free by making an agreement. In few months, palayonian tribes were betrayed and colonised by surprise, therefore the colonial power using elves as well as humans to conquer nestonians. During 12 years, tensions rise all across the country, where rebellion spark in many cities and countryside villages. The revolt become an internal war between the natives and the coloniser, but there are conflicts between the three species as well, each of them accusing the other of the defeat against Salovia. In 1857, a treaty is made, giving the northerwestern islands and a part of Palescia to the empire. Various tribes chiefs are unsatisfied and war break up again in 1860. For the last 25 years, the conflicts ends up by the retreat of all colonial power except for a tiny bit in the northwest of today's Palescia province, which will become an important port for Salovia. That land has been given as a deal were it would keep being under salovian rule for 135 years, given back to Ayaupia after that period.

The highest elevation point is the Upoy Rol mount at 1,534 meters, in the Apumoo range. This range covers all the south of Ayaupia. The Pocapumi Mountains covers 2/3 of the main islands, while the other islands are entirely mountainous. Numerous rivers cross Ayaupia, as the Ulsta, the one who marks the border between the country and Scander, or those who approximately make the border between Asconia and Palayonia, the Astoril to the north, the Upyolat to the south.
