==Army==
[[Image:VirtusAxdelSoldier.jpg|right|thumb|250px||An Axdelian Army soldier during a training exercise]]The Axdelian Army is the principle land warfare force of the Axdel Armed Forces. The force is primarily tasked with the defence of the nation, though it is well capable of overseas deployment and is an able invasion force. It deploys the Taurus lineage of main battle tanks, the Taurus 3 being based on the Kuthernburg Cougar 2 tank though highly modified. However, the Taurus 3 proved ineffective against Xagrurgian Warrior MBT's during the [[Auroran-Pacific War]], with neither tank being able to consistently penetrate the others armour. Thus, the Taurus 4, armed with a larger 130mm gun which has proved to be more effective against composite armour, is being rushed through development and is expected to enter service as early as 2021. Recently, the army has replaced its ageing Norogradian armoured fighting vehicles with the highly modular SV AFV, which has 6 configurations each using the same base chassis, vastly reducing complexity and maintenance costs
