The 2021 Vothetrian General Election is an upcoming general election scheduled for 14 January 2021. The general election process was triggered on 17 December 2020 by Prime Minister Clauzia Sarohart after her coalition with the Vothetrian Unionist Party broke down.

Campaigning began on the 18th, though Schmidt did not begin until the 19th. All party leaders to some extent went around the country, but Sarohart traveled to the most constituencies. By polling day she had visited 401 out of 416 constituencies.

Polling day began at 00:01 on 14 January 2021. 30,123,870 eligible votes were recorded, which amounted to 76.6 percent of the population; the highest turnout of any preceding Vothetrian general election since they began in 2017 by a 2.2 percent increase.

The results were counted overnight after votes closed at 23:59. They were released at midday on 15 January. The Vothetrian Labour Party gained the most seats at 175, a 30 net gain. The VWP gained 27 seats to form a majority government with 227 out of 209 seats required. The Vothetrian Unionist Party lost 35 of their 49 seats, holding on to 14 seats. The Vothetrian Conservative Party lost all of their 23 seats.

The VWP took 1 constituency from Labour, whilst taking 6 from the Unionist Party and 21 from the Conservative Party. Labour took 29 seats from the Unionist Party and 2 from the Conservative Party. Both the Unionist and Conservative Parties did not make any net gains, only net losses. The most prolific MP to lose their seat was Marza Leuredofer, who held many Shadow Minister roles in the Unionist Party between 2017 and 2021.

The general election shows a trend in Vothetria which suggests the nation is becoming more of a two-party democracy rather than the three-party system Great Morstaybishlia implemented in 2017.
