The 2020 Vistari General Election was the first General Election of the Imperial Vistari Confederation following the ratification of the Second Constitution by the Vistari Interim Government, seeing the victory of the previously appointed First Minister, Allard Baas as his party led a three-way coalition of Centre Right-Right Wing Parties, granting Baas the title of First Prime Minister of the Confederation. The election saw the first time a United Parliament was called to represent the entirety of the remaining territories of the Vistari Empire, with many calling it the first time the nation has had a Representative Democracy.

The prelude to the election was the disillusion of the vastly unpopular Degrellezoon Ministry at the order of the Empress on the grounds of the documented abuses of Anton, Grand Duke of Aisera. The ministry used the death of the Grand Duke of Haliban and self-granted emergency powers in what is known as "The Informal Dictatorship". When this government was eventually dismissed on the 2nd of December, an interim government was appointed led by Allard Baas, both to ratify the Second Constitution and to organize the upcoming election to be held on the 25th, leading to the election becoming informally referred to as "An Ademar's Mass Miracle."

The political parties of Vistaraland saw a large shift in the December Period, with infighting amongst the Royal Conservatives and the collapse of the Ademarist Democrats giving rise to the New Democratic Ademarist Party, made up of Alwin Hake's faction of the RCP as well as the more moderate members of the former ADP. The remainder of the ADP fell under the influence of Arend Achen, forming the openly Clerical-Fascist Ademar's Wil party. Factionalism on the left occurred too, with the legalisation of Social Democratic, Socialist and Communist organisations giving rise to the Cooperative Workers' Party, the formerly banned Popularists and the Revolutionary Labour Party. These new parties sought to reap the benefits of the now more fairly enfranchised Working Class, with the so-called "elitist politicians" of the old parties being heavily criticised by the now more mainstream Vistari Left.
