The [[Social Democratic Union|Social Democratic]] ticket of Federal Councilor [[Yuliya Surkova]] and [[Governor (Volkia)|Governor]] of [[Yekartovsk Oblast]] [[Vladimir Burmakin]] defeated five other tickets. Surkova took office as the 20th [[President of Volkia|president]], and Burmakin as the 19th [[Vice President of Volkia|vice president]], on August 6, 2016.
