Nancy Armelle Jardsel (née Carradec; 5 July 1932 - present) is a Kaltariz former politician who served as Prime Minister of Great Morstaybishlia after taking over from Delores Gastrell in 1977 until 1981, and Leader of the Civic Party from 1977 until 1982. She served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Werzhañgris, Rouanezkador from 1970 until 1982. At the time, Jarsdel was the youngest person to hold the office of prime minister at 45 years old and was the second female in the post.

Inheriting a country in a period of economic contraction following the Auroran Imperial War, Jarsdel oversaw her predecessors' economic policies, including the Morstaybishlian Recovery Act, and implemented some of her own; including devaluing the Kirib, reducing taxes and investing in rebuilding infrastructure and energy to create jobs. Between 1979 and 1981, Jarsdel beckoned liberal social reforms such as decriminalising homosexuality, legalising abortion, relaxing divorce laws, permitting the settling of non-human immigrants and abolishing capital punishment.

Internationally, Jarsdel's government did not intervene like it had done in the past or would do in the future, except primarily for matters relating to the Auroran Continental Assembly. Domestically besides the economic contraction, Jarsdel granted nationhood to South Staynes within Morstaybishlia, oversaw further Morstaybishlian decolonisation in Rodenia, and battled outbreaks of polio, typhus fever and measles that swept the continent.

Jarsdel has been credited for modernising Morstaybishlia socially and reducing the impact of the postwar economic contraction. For her handling of international and domestic affairs, academics ranked her in the first and quintile in historical rankings of prime ministers of Great Morstaybishlia.

Gastrell cabinet

When Prime Minister Delores Gastrell was diagnosed with giant cell myocarditis (GCM), Gastrell came to the view that Jarsdel would be the best choice as her successor, having earlier favoured Luke Rurin, but changed her mind when she learned from the Morstaybishlian ambassador to Salovia that their administration was uneasy at the prospect of Rurin as Prime Minister, and from her chief whip that Rurin, seen as a right-winger, would alienate moderate voters.
