Anton Karl Degrellezoon van Sereena, referred to informally as Anton van Oostereen, is the Grand Duke of Oostereen who previously served as a politician within the legislature of Vistaraland before the Second Constitution banned the practice of reigning provincial leaders serving in politics. Between July and December 20202, Van Oostereen served as Vistaraland's acting head of government, following the assassination of the Imperial Advisory Council's elected Chairman: Grand Duke Frederick van Zijrivierland.
Following his ascension the throne in 1991 following the death of his father, Degrelle van Oostereen, the Grand Duke has acted as a representative and cultural leader of the province of Oostereen and the wider region of Sereena as a whole. As such, in both political and ceremonial affairs, Van Oostereen has presented himself as a spokesperson for the brand of socially-conservative Ademarist fundamentalism found to an omnipresent degree in parts of the region, creating a heavily divisive mode of engagement with the contemporary establishment's gradual move towards tolerance and pluralism throughout the 21st Century.
