The Vindens Pust Airline Alliance is an airline alliance incorporated as an association bénévole in and based out of the city of République C.D in the Federation of the Southern Coast. It was founded on 17 June 1997 when several airlines signed a formal agreement to cooperate on international air travel. It was named after the Vodkaniate deity known as Vindens Pust ("Breath of Winds") in Akuanism.
History
The International Summit for the Air Industry was held in République C.D, Federation of the Southern Coast in 1981 to discuss cooperation in the international airline industry. It was attended by airline operators and regulators with a view to developing common standards and practice and removing obstacles to the sharing of information and resources and coordination of flight management. The Summit continued every 2 years since that date. Following the end of the Second Packilvanian Civil War and the takeover of Packilvania by the Carriers of Mercy from the Packilvanian Communist Party, there was an appetite by the international aviation industry to cooperate with the new Bedonite dynasty government to ensure that Packilvanian airspace would be open to commercial air travel. As such, the country was invited to the Summits which culminated with the signing of the République C.D. Declaration on 17 June 1997 by several international airlines whereby they agreed to establish a formal alliance to facilitate cooperation while remaining independent. The alliance was formally registered as an association bénévole in the country.
