Type-Sun is a Vakrestrender game and media company, best known their various visual novels, manga, anime series and video games. Founded by Ny'Kinto a Nystatinne refugee and illustrator Trym Veen a Valkyr native. Originally founded as a alternate portrait design company it found massive success the company's first visual novel, Destiny/North Star which was a passion product of Ny'Kinto. The visual novel is was based on several figures from mythology and historical figures from all around the world being summoned by "Masters" competing in a death match to claim the "Akua's Machine" which will grant anyone single wish. With the new found success Type-Sun made the several spin offs and later a anime adaption of it. Type-Sun made the Destiny/North Star into a series proper and shifted the companies focus from alternate portraits into a visual novel company. Later developing into a what it is now day.


History

Type-Sun was founded by pair of Ny'Kinto and Trym Veen, who first work was illustrating varies products they was contracted out to fill and alternative portraits which featured placing the customer into a varies historical places or scenes. For a example, drawing a customer riding horse back along with a Alvan Khans or alongside Viking leaders from history. For the most part the company found success in their niche market, it wasn't until they 2000 where the company self published a visual novel "Destiny/North Star." The visual novel sold extremely well and amassed a large fanbase because of its comprehensive and expansive story line, with Ny'Kinto unique style of storytelling. The visual novel led to the creation of numerous top selling merchandise, memorabilia, and a fanbase numbering in the million around the Urth. Destiny/North Star was later adapted to a anime series by Studio Ny'Kee in 2005.

Soon after, on January 21, 2001, Type-Sun released two additional spin-off novels which featured eight new short stories and assorted multimedia.

Type-Sun soon transitioned from alternative portrait company, to a proper commercial organization after success with Destiny/North Star, releasing additional visual novels in the same universal Destiny Series.

In December 2019, Type Sun announced that they established a new company called Type-Sun Studio GG, a video game development studio with former Circle Box and G-J studios employee Ny'Kazuya, who was a director for the series Emergency Room Special, Heroine's Travel Back Home and World for Tinies Spirits as the head of the studio. According to a press release, the company plans to make medium to large-scale 3D games developed in cooperation with external developers, and small-scale 2D games developed in-house.

Releases

Destiny Series

  • Destiny/North Star, was a PC visual novel game released in 4th of July, 2004. Later in 2005, a anime movie adapted the movie by Studio Ny'Kee and released in theaters in Vakrestrender and in the rest of Norgsveldet.
  • Destiny Grand Command, an RPG released on mobile platforms on 8th of June 2015. The game contains characters from previous Type-Sun properties along with new characters and added three new classes to the game.
  • Destiny/Extra, an RPG dungeon-crawler for the PC, released on August 18th, 2010.
