Runar Waadeland

Runar Z. Waadeland (Born 1910 - 1994) was an Norgsveltian businessman and the former founder of the Care for Nystatinne Refugees, the latter being a charity organization for refugees coming from Nystatiszna. Waadeland inherited his father's fishing business in Hirdvik, Norgsveldet. Hirdvik having a large Akuan community, Waadeland grew up around Akuanists and his crew was made up by them. Where he frequently violated Norgsveltian labor laws and under paid his crew.

In 1975, Waadeland started the charity 'Care for Nystatinne Refugees' which aimed to provide assistance to refugees coming from the authoritarian and deeply troubled regimes of Nystatiszna. Waadeland received various donations from the Norgsveltian speaking world and various Akuanists communities within them. In 1980, the charity received large donations from the Bjørn family of Vakrestrender and was matched by the royal house of Aikthudr'zhur. Later receiving additional funds from the Wright Family in 1981 and was a featured charity in the Yarn Ball.

In 1989, NCIS accused Waadeland of running a charity scam, later in that year the NCIS raiding Waadeland's mansion. Waadeland fled Norgsveldet on his private plane and head to Vakrestrender where NCIS agents arresting at the airport. He was charged with numinous charges and convicted by a grand jury in 1994. Waadeland was sentenced to 57 years in prison. According to the NCIS Waadeland stole Ѳ800 UKR million ($400 USD million.) He was murdered in prison by another prisoner in 1994.

Care for Nystatinne Refugees

In the beginning Waadeland funds to provide housing, soup kitchens and exclusively hired Akuanists to work in them. The charity was seen as a positive influence, being the only charity for Akuanists ran by a non-Akuanist in Norgsveldet at the time. Association of the Servants of Akua publication, Akuan Monthly cited it as a example of positive relationship of Ulvriktru and Akuanism.


It wasn't until 1987 when Waadeland started to steal funds from the charity, buying himself a mansion and a private plane. Which was heavily criticized by watch groups and journalists however, the Akuan community came out in defense of Waadeland citing the good he has done for the refugees and homes he has built for Akuanists across mainland Norgsveldet.

Arrest and Court Case

NCIS issued a warning about the charity, later raiding his home in 1989. Finding several Witcain watches, Valkyr suits and other luxury goods all over his mansion. None of which he filed with the Norgsveltian Tax Service, adding to Waadeland list of charges. During the raid, Waadeland fled to Vakrestrender falsely believing that the country wouldn't press charges on him and wouldn't extradition him due to the country's incredibly relaxed policy towards financial crimes and laws. NCIS arrested Waadeland at the airport, and brought him back to Norgsveldet. He was sentence to 57 years by a grand jury and sent to a minimal security prison in Osfjord in 1994. He was later killed by another prisoner and after a investigate by NCIS found no links to organized crime. Issuing a report the killing happened by accident after a fight took place between Waadeland and the other prisoner over discussion of pudding cups.
