The Progressive Party of Phoenixia (PPP), commonly referred to as Phoenixia Progressives, is a Phoenixian political party. The party is known for its progressive policies and its commitment to social justice, equality, and human rights. The party is a part of the New Horizon Alliance, the ruling coalition, and currently holds 36 seats in the Landsraad, the Phoenixian parliament. The PPP was founded in 1998 as a merger between several smaller progressive parties in Phoenixia. Its founding members included activists, trade unionists, and environmentalists who sought to create a more equitable and sustainable society.
Since its inception, the PPP has advocated for policies such as universal healthcare, free education, affordable housing, and a transition to renewable energy sources. The party also promotes gender and speciest equality, and has been a vocal advocate for the rights of marginalized groups in Phoenixian society.
In 2018, the party was instrumental in passing, Love Act, a law that legalized same-sex marriage in Phoenixia, and has continued to be a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
