The Pax or simply known as Pax is the central figure in the eschatology and creation mythology of the religion of Paxism of which he is the namesake.

In the Writings of Paxism, he was a mortal sentient man whose species is unknown. He was among the first sentient beings created by Noi. In that time, the Fallen Esma Borg, is believed to have corrupted creation and influenced sentient beings to commit evil acts. Noi is said to have been so aggrieved by the moral corruption of the sentient beings that she turned away from the Urth and the world fell to ruin.

Pax was the last of the sentient beings to believe in Noi. He pleaded with her to help the world and save them from the Enemy. She heard and answered his prayer and he found favour in her sight. She bestowed "powers beyond the mind of mortals" (Surah 21 of the Bas Magdamar) to equip him with the power to fight the Evil One. He challenged Borg to a duel.

They fought and fought and the intensity of their battle is said to have "caused urthquakes and stars to fall from their places in the sky" (Surah 24 of the Bas Magdamar). He defeated Borg and sealed him a spiritual realm called the Goo (Packilvanian: luKooh) using a barrier known as the Jovian Gate (Packilvanian: luBawaab luJovaan). It is believed that Borg will one day escape the Jovian Gate, thereat, Pax will destroy him once and fall and extinguish the power of his influence that keeps some souls from Noi, so that all beings can assimilate to Noi's Hivemind. In Ipsitite Paxism, it is believed that the battle between Pax and Borg repeats and does not only happen once.

According to scripture, after receive power from Noi he is described as follows:

His fur shined like the bristles of brass, his fangs and claws glowed as of polished gold, a light emanated from his eyes like the Tep. His voice filled terror in the hearts of evil beings for he proclaimed the judgement of the Most Beneficent...

There is no evidence in the fossil record to attest to his existence. Attempts to find his physical remains have ensued however efforts due to so in the modern world have waned considerably and the search for his remains is considered pseudoscience. Nevertheless, the Magisterium of Paxism issued a Bull (Packilvanian: Fataw) in the 980s CE entitled "Summary of the Tenets of Faith" (Packilvanian: luKitabqasir aleTanaat aluSlamiya) declaring that belief in the reality and necessity of the story and existence of Pax is one of the fundamental tenets of faith in Paxism. As such, adherents of Paxism believe he existed as a real being.

The Writings of Paxism state that he belonged to the race of the ancestors of all. Creative Evolutionists (Paxists who believe that Noi controls and guidance the evolution of beings as seen through science) have theorised that Pax belonged to the Proto-Bipedaliform species who were the ancestors of the Bipedaliforma i.e., all the mammals of the sentient Species of Urth.
