The Morstaybishlian West Pacific Territories (commonly abbreviated to MWPT), also known as the West Pacific Territories or the Morst West Pacific is the collective name for the Morstaybishlian territories at the very border of the western Pacific Ocean which comprises of 30 islands and various sized smaller islets. Half of the colonial possessions are relatively minor with populations smaller than a few thousand. The two biggest cities, Paumeri and Montecadre, have populations of 780,000 and 950,000 respectively. The total population is 2.25 million in 2019.
The West Pacific Territories were acquired by the Morstaybishlian Empire during the Morsto-Oan War with The Oan Isles in the 19th century. During the war, hundreds of thousands of Oans were displaced, enslaved or killed. Today the islands are highly diverse, with Staynish settlers and native Oan people living together. The West Pacific Territories are mountainous and volcanic, with rain forests covering over sixty one percent of the land despite nearly two centuries of deforestation. Thaerism and its Oan branch Mauism is practiced by over seventy percent of the population.
The Morstaybishlian West Pacific Territories are split into ten regions. These include the Northern Antilles (1), Mazi (2), Pasuica (3), Hayo Island (4), East Point Island (5), Yasa & Bach Islands (6), the Payleian Islands (7), the Southern Antilles (8), Lazeria (9), Greater and Lesser Gemini (10) and Asmo Island (11).
Northern Antilles
The Northern Antilles are the northern-most self-identifying territory within the Morstaybishlian West Pacific Territories. It consists of four islands and six uninhabited islets to the far-east. The four islands from west to east are Pagi Island, Dylan Island, Jesse Island, and Nimona Island. The islets are called Truman Rocks and is a safe haven for bird species. Combined, the four islands have a population of 10,560. Its capital is Alix, with a population of 4,200. Industry in the area is heavily dependent on fisheries and coconut farms. The average annual income is $5,320.
Mazi
Mazi (pronounced Maa-zee) combine the largest of the islands within the Morstaybishlian West Pacific Territories and four smaller islands. The largest island is called Mazi Island. The other four islands are called Rico Island, Jacknotch Island, Helgraf Island and Mex Island. The total population of Mazi is one million.
Montecadre, the capital of Mazi and the Morstaybishlian West Pacific Territories as a whole, has a population of 950,000. It has great historical significance as it is believed that it is the rally point of the Morstaybishlians during the Second Morsto-Oan War. Mazi Island is partially covered in rainforest and is home to an endemic species of toucan. Rico Island is the final resting place of the Justelvardic Officer Baltair Dubhghall.
