History

The group was formed in 1989 in Cryton by lead singer August Kellar, guitarist Adriano Meis, bassist Paul Bob Johnson and drummer Emily Matteo Delta. They all met while studying at the Cryton School of Music and quickly bonded over their shared love of country music. They began performing at local bars and clubs, honing their skills and developing their unique sound.

In 1992, they caught the attention of a local record producer who helped them record their first demo. This led to a contract with a major record label and the release of their debut album "Concordia" in 1997. The album was a commercial success and helped establish Love and Peace as one of the most promising new acts in the Phoenixian music scene.

They achieved crossover success around the globe in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their unique blend of traditional country music and modern pop influences. The band released five albums: "Concordia" in 1997, "Amicizia" in 2000, "Tradimento" in 2006, "Fratello" in 2012 and "Amore" in 2019. The group sold an estimated 43 million albums and singles, making them the most profitable Phoenixian band ever. In 2021 with the song "Happiness", they won the 52nd edition of the Grand Prix of Music and participated at the Urthvision representing Phoenixia, finishing 14th in the first semifinal of the XVIII Urthvision. After Urthvision they began collaborating with singer Chaos Blade to write new songs for a joint album, Primordium, which is expected to be released in March 2023.
