Kyon (Kyon Thomas Riese Doerner, born 12th June 2001) is the Grand Duke of Nagato, reigning since 12 June 2019. He is Commander-in-chief of the Royal Army of Nagato. From birth, he was the heir apparent of Nagato. Kyon began to undertake public duties during the late 2000s and throughout the 2010s, serving on the Student Council at Greenwood Royal Academy and as Commander in the Nagato Royal Scouts.
Childhood
Kyon was born in the Doerner House on 12 June 2001 as the first child of Grand Duke Daniel and Petra Macneary. As a child, he didn’t like being in the royal spotlight but grew to like it as he learned to understand the importance of power.
At the age of 10, Kyon joined the Nagato Royal Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle at the age of 17. He has used what he learned in the Nagato Royal Scouts in the way he communicates and listens to people in any given situation.
At the age of 13, Kyon came down with pneumonia and was sent to Greenwood Health and Science University to seek medical attention. After a few days of tests and blood work, doctors told Kyon and the family that he needed a heart transplant due to a condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy. After many weeks of waiting, a heart was found and Kyon had the transplant. The transplant did however cause some lasting effect that made him different than before. There are a lot of physical and mental limitations that Kyon faces from time to time, but it is not shown when the public is around.
Education
Due to the excellent educational system in Nagato, Kyon was educated in Greenwood from the ages of 5 to 18 at the prestigious Greenwood Royal Academy until he graduated with full honors. Instead of going to Nagato University, Kyon decided to have his father, who became a professor at a very young age, teach him how to become a Grand Duke.
