Government:Delegate Marrabuk's New Years Message

The following statement was released by Delegate Marrabuk on January 1st, 2020. It serves to recap all that Marrabuk had done during his first term. The original statement can be found here.

Statement

As you all may already know, I am the current elected delegate of The East Pacific. I was elected on October 2019, where there was an attempted coup by the previous delegate and their followers. The attempt failed only because us TEPers are strong and united! None of us could've done it alone to stop such evil forces from taking over our beloved region and home forcibly. Our joined effort was valiant and was proven too strong of a force for the coupers to handle. Our friends and allies also came to our aid in such strong numbers and coordination, they were very crucial and vital in supporting us against the attempted coup. We are extremely grateful and thankful to them.

Ever since then, we have fixed many problems and issues purposely done by the previous administration. Among these problems and issues are:

- Increasing the amount of viziers. Viziers are tasked to ensure the security of our region. Their duties include amongst many others, are collecting influence and banning law breakers. With a rise in the number of viziers, it ensures the security of our region remains strong and impenetrable. The number of viziers during the previous administration has dropped to a very low number of just 3, on purpose. Having such low numbers presents such a security risk, which we now know was purposely done to aid the coupers in their attempted coup. Our current vizier numbers are at 7! More than double the numbers we had during the attempted coup. I am further looking into increasing the number of viziers to at least 10.

- The appointment of a Vice-Delegate. The appointment of a Vice-Delegate is essential because as and when the delegate is busy, the Vice-Delegate will step in command to ensure that the region will not come to a halt whenever the delegate is temporarily not available.

-The revival of EPNS(East Pacific News Service) as our official news platform and outlet for the region under the care of Ministry Of Information and Communications. The revival of EPNS is essential for our region as it provides information and official news to be dispersed throughout the whole region and the NS sphere. This allows our region to be fully updated and aware of our regional happenings and news.

-The revival of EPSA (East Pacific Sovereign Army). EPSA was relatively dead throughout the past year under the previous administration with it's only operations being pilers. Since I was elected, appointment of a new OO(Overseeing Officer) and the revival of EPSA, we have gone through 3 successful missions.

-The creation of new ministries such as Ministry of Manpower(MoM) and Ministry of RMB Affairs. MoM is tasked to help the region recruit for the executive branch as well as the legislative branch. This has been proven to be a very beneficial ministry for our region as it has helped to bring in more people to help our beloved region. RMB Affairs is tasked to enforce our RMB laws and etiquette on the RMB. Our RMB has been improving ever since and a better community and environment to be on in general.

-The appointments of Advisors to the cabinet. Most of whom, were former Delegates of our beloved region. These advisors have managed to provide the cabinet valuable advices, insights and aid because of their vast experiences.

-Foreign Affairs policy and update: We have decided to further strengthen our relations with fellow GCRs and also major UCRs. This will ensure prolong cooperation and open new opportunities for our region. We have recently forged a treaty with the region of Balder. More treaties will be forged to ensure stronger and tighter relations with regions whom we've had friendly relations with and making new friends along the way.

- We have tried to hold a dialogue session between the cabinet and citizens/residents of our region. To update, answer questions and queries, and also receive feedbacks. The first dialogue session was held in November 2019 with underwhelming response. Although, it didn't start off well. I believe it's very important to continue this dialogue session on a monthly basis to engage the residents and citizens of our region.

- We also held a flag contest for the new official regional flag. The flag designed by Church of Satan won and has been made our new official regional flag.

- The cabinet has also discussed the possibility of an official YouTube channel of TEP. The channel will run video recruitment ads for the branches of our government and also introduce and publish interview podcasts there.

As listed above, many have been done since I got elected and many still needs to be done. We couldn't have done what we have done without the valiant efforts of everyone involved in the cabinet and the staffs of the ministries and branches of our government. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to the region thus far! From the bottom of my heart, thank you! To improve our region, we need more help to come forward and help us! TEP isn't my region or your region, it's OUR region and our home! We can definitely further improve our beloved region if we all care and contribute to the progress of our region, as one united community and family! After the holidays and in the new year 2020, I am looking forward to many more people taking the initiative to volunteer and help make our beloved region a better and thriving place! Because together, we are unstoppable! TEP is place rich in history, with many legends who are still around in TEP still contributing to the region in one way or another! We are very thankful for their contributions to the region and their dedication in continuing to help mould the region into a better place for you and I!

We have been through a lot together and nothing can and will ever faze us if we stick together and help one another. Let's start the new year 2020 with a renewed and refreshed energy towards building a better TEP! Our TEP, our region, our home and our family! With all these being said, I would like to wish everyone the very happiest new year 2020!
