The fourth Johannes ministry was the final ministry of Walter Johannes, formed on 5 December 2012. Staying in government, the Principles returned with a majority, dropping the need of the Johannes-von Hague coalition that was in place between 2014 and 2017. The culminating 2019 general election ended a nearly fourteen years of Podite helm in government, the second longest in party history.

The Farmers Union fell in popularity in coalition due to its inability to emphasise its own distinct values and achievements whilst simultaneously defending the overall coalition record. After the Auroran-Cerenerian War and the handling of the breakup of the Matriarchy of Ethalria, members of the Farmers Union rebelled in a Barvata-led motion of no confidence, which won by a majority of one vote.

The election saw a centralisation of ideology. Fractured right-wing safe seats that were controlled by the ACA Scepticism Party, the Make Sani Bursil Great Again Party and the Farmers Union were won again by the Principles. The Civic Party lost over half of their seats, some of which was won by the Principles. Despite their small victories which allowed them into government, evidence of Progress' rising popularity was obvious after winning 201 seats.

During this ministry, Johannes played a large role in the reunification of Aurora and the subsequent formation of the UNAC. Issues of the continent were as important as internal ones. The Principles went against their manifesto promise by rising taxes, including an increase to income taxes, property taxes, capital gains, inheritance taxes, and Value Added Tax (VAT) to pay for post-war rebuilding; and an aggressive foreign policy approach in the Ethalns, which included building garrisons, the immediate disarmament of the Matriarchy of Ethalria's nuclear program and aiding provisional governments in quashing rebellion. These factors were widely unpopular. The Principles backed the right-wing Kirk Santon in the 2018-2019 Rodenian military intervention, which proved fatal come the next general election as Johannes' vision of a united, democratic Rodenia saw it become a fascist dictatorship.

Other factors, including billions independently invested from the UNAC by the Principles into anti-terrorism in Kostoria-Obertonia in retaliation to the 2019 Ribenstadt Bombings, as well as plans to garrison the country like the Ethalns, led to Franklin Barvata winning his first of three motions of no confidence at the start of February. He would succeed Johannes as prime minister in the 2019 general election.
