Darryl Evangelo McKinsey known simply as Darryl McKinsey is a businessman, engineer and scientist original from South Hills who is famous for founding and eventually heading the Metatron Corporation, the largest manufacturer of microchips on Urth.

He was born on 18 July 1948 to Helga McKinsey (née Rudolf) and Caster McKinsey. He was raised in Matthews, South Hills. After completing his high school education, he studied at the Vernon Institute where he earned a degree in physics, following which he earned a masters in Electrical Science. He married his first husband, Liam McDougall in 1960, who passed away shortly after due to pneumonia. He moved to Tokapa, The Oan Isles, in 1975 to work on his PhD. He was part of a team supervised by Prof Leigh Cameron from Kuthernburg which included Atawhai Taumata, Basiloy Modvenovich and Casey Burnham. Together they published research on crystalline silicon and its applications in integrated circuits.

After receiving seed funding from High Chief Taumata of Wekatoka, the team developed their first propotype in 1979 and pitched their idea to Oan Arms which invested in the idea, leading to the founding of Metatron in 1985. He was appointed CEO because of his leadership skills and extroverted personality (features that none of his colleagues and co-founders shared). Due to ideological differences over the use of microchips in war, Basiloy Modvenovich left the company.

He oversaw the construction of the first foundry in 1987 in Tauranga a te Toka. He remarried in 1988 to Manaia Otane, a surgeon from Anapa in the Oan Isles. He oversaw the expansion of Metatron to mainland Aurora in 1990. In 1994, he managed to convince Damehowe to be their main supplier of microchips. Despite this success, creative and scientific conflicts with Casey Burnham led to McKinsey buying her out and her resigning as Chief technology officer that same year. From there followed Primrose in 1996 and the Audelli Group in 1997.

He oversaw the expansion of the company to Novaris when they became the main supplier of microchips for KAE Systems plc in 1998 and for Goggle Inc in 2001 and then all of Cluster in 2002. He also led the expansion of the company to Itur in 2003, by getting Velox Motors as the first client from Volkia. This was soon followed by Volktel in 2004. Despite his professional successes, his marriage with Otane collapsed and he divorced Otane that same year. He lost half of his net worth (about 3 billion KRB) in the process. Coupled with looming bankruptcy, Taumata bought his share in the company for 2 billion KRB. His protège, Bing Sion (then the COO) gained his favour by acquiring Barque Lithography in 2008. Following Simon's acquisition of Fort Jubrayn Optics in 2012, he announced that Sion would succeed him as CEO.

He started delegating duties to Sion to smooth out the transition, but his last major act was the successful launch of Metatron's initial public offering (IPO) in 2012 for 1.34 billion KRB. He resigned in 2016 and continues to work as a philanthropist. Today he is worth about 11.4 billion KRB and is among the wealthiest people in the Oan Isles.
