The Council of Scientists (Vaaran: Nju is'Sarkrei /nʲu ɪssaɺkɾɛ̯ɪ/) is a liberal political party in Kyrloth.
The Council was formed as the political wing of the Federated Trade Union of Researchers in 1943, and rose to prominence as the party that most Renu'a MPs defected to following Kotka Silmat's controversial Third Republic Bill in 1948. Seven Kirrhions have been from the Council, most recently Hefanira Tara, until she was assassinated in 2018. Currently, the Council is the fourth largest party in the House of Debate, and work under the banner of The Opposition, an electoral alliance which also includes the Socialists and Black Flag.
