The 2017 Tretridian federal election was held on January 18, 2017. The LDP, which was the ruling party of Tretrid before the removal of Æthelred Wulfricesunu from power, lost nearly half its seats due to a series of increasingly high-profile scandals. A ÞSD-ÞUD government, led by Eoforwine Æthelstanesunu, was created after the election.

The election was held after the Witan was dissolved early due to Wulfricesunu's removal by motion of no confidence and the creation of Æthelstanesunu's ÞSD-MWP-ÞUD caretaker government.
